According to the National Institute of Health “SARS-CoV-2 remained active on plastic and stainless-steel surfaces for two to three days under the conditions in this experiment. It remained infectious for up to 24 hours on cardboard and four hours on copper. The virus was detectable in aerosols for up to three hours.”
Problem: Inadequate disinfection equipment for our economy
Prior to the pandemic, there was some movement in schools to try to reduce the spread of influenza viruses. Some school districts made attempts to purchase one or two handheld electrostatic sprayers to spray disinfectant on a limited number of high touch areas. Nursing homes, public transportation and every other market did little to nothing to disinfect. When the pandemic hit and we began to recognize the gravity of our situation, what was very clear was the fact that schools and every other venue both in private and pubic sector, needed to have its surfaces disinfected.
Nearly overnight, we moved from a world where were disinfecting some high touch areas with no sense of urgency to today’s new world, where facility managers around the world have the responsibility of disinfecting literally billions of square feet.
The greatest challenge is managing the labor cost involved with disinfecting – keeping in mind that most venues who have just barely survived are now asked to take on this additional burden of cost.
Our flagship sprayer is the world’s most cost-effective sprayer. It sprays 10,000 square feet in one minute. The CK Storm unit was originally designed for special effects but has now been converted to spray EPA registered disinfectants – predominantly our Benefect Botanical Decon 30, the ONLY botanical disinfectant on the EPA N List and our VS1000, a hydrogen peroxide based disinfectant.Shop Products
