Disinfect Convention Centers“It’s a depressing time’: Convention centers struggle to make ends meet amid mass cancellations”

Mark Belko, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Sept. 4, 2020

The sheer size of a convention center makes it a nearly impossible task to protect people from the pandemic. Fortunately, we have solutions.

  • How can you possibly safely disinfect hundreds of thousands of square feet in a short amount of time?
  • What are you doing to clean the air people are breathing in?
  • What are you doing to prevent people who may be asymptomatic from entering the building?

  • Pandemic Solutions high volume sprayers
    • Botanical disinfectants and anti-microbials
  • Advanced dielectric barrier discharge bi-polar ionization technology in the air supply
  • Bio-scanning Screening Evaluation Gateway (SEG)

High volume sprayers: The CK Storm unit sprays a mist 50 feet long and 30 feet wide covering 10,000 square feet in one minute. Our CK Commercial unit sprays 12-15 feet long and 8 feet wide covering 3,000 square feet in one minute. It also has a hose that can go up to 75’ so that the unit can be rolled through the corridors and the applicators can get to each section of the mid and upper parts of the arenas.

What are we spraying out of this high-volume equipment? First we start with one of the most earth-friendly botanical disinfectants on the market – Benefect Decon 30. The product is safe enough to spray without personal protection equipment. Second, after cleaning and disinfecting, we recommend adding a 100% organic anti-microbial, SD 90, to non-porous surfaces that can last up to 90 days.

DBD Bipolar Ionization technology: Ionic technology has been around for a while. The theory of scrubbing the air clean using ions is not new. Ions actively seek bacteria and virus and essentially render them inactive through a natural process that pierces the shell of the bacteria or virus and changes its ability to produce. The biggest difference with our patented technology is the delivery system that is designed to bringing millions of healthy ions into an indoor air environment is more effective than any other ionic or bi-polar ion (BPI) technology. For example, a popular BPI currently being used by Siemens is Needlepoint BPI. Needlepoint emits ions that last 10-20 seconds barely making it out of the duct work it is installed in. Our advanced DGD BPI has ions that last 300 seconds. Sending millions of ions that last 300 seconds into an indoor air environment is a game changer.

Multi-layered Screening Evaluation Gateway (SEG): In a study by Clinical Microbiology and Infection, patients with COVID-19 were screened. These patients had a variety of symptoms. Of these screenings, only 11% of patients were found to have a fever (>37.5 degrees Celsius) 12. Implementing temperature-check only screenings could miss over 88% of cases.

Similar to units deployed at airport security checkpoints, our SEG scans for temperature, oxygen level, respiratory rate and heart rate. It is capable of scanning a person and instantly letting the screener know if the individual is displaying symptoms or potentially sick/infected. A scan is non-invasive, non-contact, and only takes 5 seconds once the person is positioned and stable in the device.
